How To Relax In 5 Minutes

Are you relaxed as you read this? My guess is that you are not, but I may be wrong.

Living in a fast paced world like today comes with its own misgivings. You are always running around having something to do, and never stopping to even breathe. However, it is important to slow down and just relax.

Forget everything that is waiting for you and just concentrate on you for a while. You might say you do not have time to do that, and that’s why I want to show how to relax in just 5 minutes. This will definitely lift a lot of weight off your shoulders…literally.

Here is what you do;

1. Sit Comfortably

I am assuming you are seated as you read this, just let go, relax your shoulders. How are you feeling? Are you tense, nervous, edgy, notice how you feel for comparison purposes.

2. Eyes Closed

Close your eyes and relax.

If you are in the office, I assure you no one will notice you closing your eyes, rather hope not. <Note: ensure you are in a comfortable place>

3. Notice your breathing

Be aware of how you are breathing, do not hold your breath and start freaking out. Breathe normally, notice as the air enters and leaves your body. Rather than taking shallow quick breaths, deepen and lengthen your breathe.

4. Breathe in Love and Breathe out Stress

As you breathe in think of love feeling your body, and as you breathe out think of stress anything that is bothering you leaving your body. Breathe in and out in this manner three times, breathe in love and breathe out stress.

5. Listen to Yourself

Open your eyes slowly and pay attention to how you are feeling…better. Do this anytime you feel like relaxing and slowing down.
